*NEXT MEETING FEB. 11: Troop 202 will have its next meeting Monday, Feb. 11 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wren. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

*FEB. 4 MEETING: The scouts discussed their upcoming 7-mile roundtrip hike set for Saturday, Feb. 16.
Troop leader Mark Landreth told the scouts to bring a backpack and food to cook and prepare along the hike. The scouts will work with a GPS on thier way to Big Tree in the Sipsey Forest. The scouts are urged to meet at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wren at 7 a.m. Feb. 16 when the scouts will car pool to the forest.
*DEC. 3 MEETING: After taking a week off, the troop braved the cold temperatures outside to make a rope bridge.
*OCT. 29 MEETING: Troop leader Mark Landreth demonstrated to the troop how to start a fire without striking matches.
*OCT. 22 MEETING: Troop leader Mark Landreth and the scouts worked on designing patrol flags.
